Wesley's Chapel
Four Poster Bed
Bed with hangings

This bed is a replica of an eighteenth century bed. It is shorter than modern beds. This was not because of John Wesley’s diminutive height, but because in the eighteenth century people slept propped up as it was thought that it helped with breathing.
